Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause salmonellosis. In many cases, the infection is mild, causing gastrointestinal discomfort. However, some cases require immediate antibiotic treatment. Foods made from animal-derived ingredients, such as eggs, may contain Salmonella. The CDC recommends that you avoid eating raw or undercooked beef, poultry or eggs. Eating undercooked brownies containing eggs can cause salmonella.

Symptoms

Most Salmonella infections reported diarrhea, abdominal spasm and fever symptoms. The disease lasts seven days and many people recover without treatment. However, children, the elderly and people with impaired autoimmune systems may have severe diarrhea and need hospitalization. If the infection spreads to the blood, doctors prescribe antibiotics. Usually there will be no long-term consequences, but your bowel movements may take months to return to normal.

Cause Salmonella exists in animal and human intestines. Human beings are usually infected with Salmonella by eating food contaminated by animal manure. These foods usually come from animals, but plants can also be contaminated by Salmonella. A thorough cooking can kill bacteria. Food processors who do not use soap to wash their hands after using the bathroom can contaminate food. Some pets, especially reptiles, can transmit bacteria to humans. Hands should be washed after contact with reptiles or birds.

It is suggested that raw or undercooked eggs may contain Salmonella. If you make your Brownie out of eggs, it's important not to eat raw dough. You should also make sure that Brownie is well cooked. Put the toothpick two inches away from the pot. If the toothpick is clean or almost clean, then the chocolate cake is well cooked. Although toothpick tests are usually adequate, you can also use an internal thermometer to ensure that Brown is thoroughly cooked. Brownie's internal temperature should be at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Please consult your doctor if you think you are infected with Salmonella. If you have diarrhea, it's important that you keep hydrated and drink lots of fluids. Other conditions can lead to symptoms similar to salmonella. If you are infected, symptoms can occur within 12 to 72 hours of infection. Wash your hands before making Brownie to prevent Salmonella or other types of outbreaks. You should also wash your hands after handling raw eggs or meat.
