In this vegetarian bowl, Farafael cakes, or crisp overtime bean cakes, are delicious and suitable for you. The healthiest vegetable protein in this main dish comes from overtime beans and brown rice. Overtime beans are counted as pulses, and studies have found that pulsed intake provides a range of health benefits, including potential anti-cancer effects. A little Greek yoghurt added to the sauce can provide more protein and make the grain slightly creamy. The bowl is pleasant, but more so, add Harisa (or Sri Raza) and fresh coriander.

1 bowl provides 310 calories and 11 grams of protein (about 10.7 grams from plant protein).
